touch screen keyboard not working on 9810

Recently the touch screen keyboard if my blackberry torch has stopped working when I close the my phone (slide close) and also the rotation that Blackberry torch does when you change the position of it isn't also work, I thought it was software problem but it's not.
Please can anyone assist me?

It might still be a software problem. Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it. If that fixes the problem then it was software-related.

Software has been updated and still no fix...

Please confirm that you've done a battery pull.

Just because your software is up to date does not mean that it's not a software problem. If you've done a proper battery pull with no results, reloading your OS (with the exact one you're currently running) sometimes helps.


Try a battery pull and an OS reload and post back. Smiley Happy

I hav removed the battery widout turnin off the phone... Didn't wrk..

I actually found a post on another site that said if you place a magnet on the back of the phone, the on-screen keyboard will work.  I tried it and it now works....well, it works until I open the slide again.
