transferring music

hello im new on here and was wondering if anyone could help me please im trying to download music from my laptop onto my blackberry curve i put the usb cable in my phone then into my laptop went to my computer saw on the right hand part of the screen my blackberry copied it onto the left hand then the media card came up then im afraid im stumped can anyone tell me what to do then please or have i done something wrong i just want to copy some of my own music onto my phone thank you

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

Thanks for the question.

 

You will need to enable mass storage mode to access the media card contents.  Follow the steps in this KB article to enable mass storage mode: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB13564

 

Once mass storage mode is enabled, then you can transfer the songs through BlackBerry Media Sync in BlackBerry Desktop Software or go through My Computer and transfer the files through "drag and drop" method.
