Re: transferring photos without a media card

Where are the pictures stored on the BlackBerry? Without a media card installed , you have two remaining media spaces, the device memory, and the built in 2gb media space.

Look at a picture and figure out where it's stored, if its the built in media memory, you can transfer them either using the Desktop Software > Media Sync.

Or you can transfer the pictures using Mass Storage mode on the BlackBerry:

1. Go to Options >> Media Card
(some themes or BlackBerrys may call this "Settings >> Media Card")

2. Check the following settings (if they are not listed this way, then change to reflect the following:
a) Media Card Support: On
b) Mass Storage Mode Support: On
c) Auto Enable Mass Storage: Yes

3. Save the settings and exit

Now, connect via the USB cable and click on your PC > My Computer and you should see a removable drive either at e, f, g drives. And from there you can drag and drop to copy the pictures to your PC.

Re: transferring photos without a media card

thanks for your reply!

it looks like they are stored in the device memory.

the media sync option is still saying not available, please make sure a media card is correctly installed, etc etc.

in my options i don't have a media card option, but i see the same settings you mentioned under "memory" and they are all the same as what you listed....what am i doing wrong here?!

Re: transferring photos without a media card

You need to just move them to your built-in memory.

Go to each picture and don't open it > Press the Menu key > Move and navigate to the BlackBerry media space and once you're in the correct folder, select the Menu key again > Select here.

And they try it all again.

or, just email the pictures to yourself.

Re: transferring photos without a media card

Heh. an iPhone without data service is going to be just as weird to operate.

So, do what i said, again, this time when you select Menu > Move, you should see "up" or a higher folder designation at the top. Just work at it, you'll get it eventually.
