trouble with my bbm

Hey, I'm having trouble using my bbm. I have a bb curve and every time I go to use my bbm a black blue screen pops up and it won't load. I did a battery pull but when I go back to use bbm, it says "setting up bbm" but it stay like that! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP :[[ !!!!
