unable to open attachment with desktop redirector

Hi, I just setup the Desktop redirector for my 8830 so that it can receive the corporate mail from our exchange server. Everything seems to be working as I am unable to open attachments. There doesn't seem to be any open/view attachment options and I didn't see the application "icon" under the option menu in the BlackBerry unit. Can someone advice me how I can view my attachments? Or do I have to purchase 3rd party software to that if I am not using Blackberry Pro or Blackberry Enterprice? Thanks
