uncaught exception: the player is not on

Just downloaded the drivesafe.ly application beign given out for free by RIM.  The application loaded successfully, and the sound on my device is on, as I get the sound message advising that the application is on or off.

Whenever an email comes in for one of the identified emails that the application is supposed to read the email aloud for, I get the error message: "uncaught exception: the player is not on" .    I'm unsure which player this error message is referring to, so that I can turn it on.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix?  Thanks.

Hi dongeorge7007,

Welcome to the Suppport Community!

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application? If that doesn't resolve the error message, try backing up your device via the BlackBerry Desktop Software and performing a clean reload of your device software. http://bbry.lv/bpv7DT Make sure to test for the error message before restoring any data from your backup file.

Hope this helps.
