I also get same error with version 22.214.171.124 on my Curve 8900. Did not happen for first week, then it started popping up randomly. I cannot reprodcue circumstances all the time, although it seems to happen the most when pressing the green phone button to go to my phone screen, not to actually dial.
Any help would be appreciated. Mi carrier is Movistar(Telefonica) in Nicaragua.

This same problem has plagued my 8900 for about 2 days now and is most frustrating! I googled it, stumbled on this forum and followed your recommendation to clear 'call logs' when the phone is connected to the computer using desktop manager software and it worked! what a relief! Thanks for sharing this. The only downside is that you lose your call records/history. But I can live with that. Tayo

Just to add, I had tried switching off the phone and even a hard reset but it didn't work. I was about to 'wipe handheld' before I found this solution to clear phone call logs. Tayo
