Re: update help

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

A number of things could have happened...what exactly happened is not really knowable. And why it happened is academic...for your situation is what it presently is. Nevertheless, I'll hypothesize:

  1. During the update process, there are selections that can be made for various things, including allowing or blocking the transfer of apps. Depending on the selections made, it would have acted accordingly.
  2. Apps are not universally compatible. Each app must be ported to every specific BB model number and major OS level combination. It is possible that the apps in question were compatible with your prior OS level, but are not compatible with the new OS level.

In any event, it actually is IMHO more advisable to reinstall all apps after any major OS update...just to be sure that things are installed properly, and they may not do so if handled by the update process. So, what you now need to do is go back to the sources of your apps and reinstall them, assuming they have a version compatible with your new OS level of course!

As for Device Analyzer, there are specific steps that must be undertaken so as to activate it...refer:

Good luck!
