Re: using 32 gb card

That's not an option to change is it?

The device should automatically recognize the media card size.

Where are you making this change?

Re: using 32 gb card

In DB ,  V 7.1.0.41, under device/device options/media you can choose 4 or 32 GB in my case.

I've been running without an SD card. I got a 32 gb one for the capacity. I get repeated msgs re doing formats and fixing errors on the BB. I have been able to sync to it, but it's hit and miss. The music currently on the card plays OK. the card works fine on the PC.

Re: using 32 gb card

Strange, never seen that.,

Try removing and reinserting the card, and rebooting the device WHILE it is in the BlackBerry.

Re: using 32 gb card

I've done that before but I just did it again and it makes no difference.

I was just reading about counterfeit cards. I bought the card used. Do you know how to tell if it's phony?

Re: using 32 gb card

Do you have a SDHC card adapter that you can read the card on your PC?

Or, with the card in your BlackBerry, connect the usb cable from your BlackBerry to the PC, and view the card and the card properties from "MY COMPUTER" on your PC.

Re: using 32 gb card

I can access the card on the PC. I don't know which files should or should not be there.

"generic hierarchical"  file system.

So, what size does the PC say the card is?

Can you try formatting the card?

Re: using 32 gb card

it recognizes the size of the card and the amount that's used. I have formatted the card several times on both the pc and bb.

Re: using 32 gb card

And your BlackBerry is very definitely a 9800 model?
