video taken with the phone won't play on computer

I used my Torch to film two videos a few minutes apart.  both play on the phone - video and sound are perfect.  When I copy them to my computer one of them plays just fine - the other only the sound - no picture.  I've uploaded the file several times with same results.  I've used the bb app to upload the files as well as windows explorer copy... always same result...

Re: video taken with the phone won't play on computer

pc or mac?

if with a PC can you try VLC to see if it will play?

I had an issue with a video that would not play because i took it in portrait mode and windows did not like that format but VLC played it fine.

Re: video taken with the phone won't play on computer

thanks for the link.. I downloaded the app and it works - except the whole video is shown in portrait mode - but it was taken "landscape".  I notice the same behavior on the phone - I have to hold the phone in portrait mode to view it full screen but the video is 90degrees off...

also could view it via Quick Time - same behavior..

I haven't found a way to "rotate" the video...

the difference between the video that works just fine and this one is that (I think) I was holding the phone in landscape mode - but for one the camera was on the left and the other the camera was on the right... I'll try some tests and post the results.
