Alternative PlayBook charger

Hi,

My PlayBook charger just broke.
I got an other tablet (Android) - could I use the charger from it for the PlayBook or could it damage the device?

Thank you

Re: Alternative PlayBook charger

Does the other have the Micro USB plug on the end of the charger?

ON the charger, what is the power output?

Re: Alternative PlayBook charger

Hi,

This are the informations from the charger:

New Charger:
Input 100-240V
AC-0.3
47-63 HZ
Output DC5V 2.0A

Original PlayBook Charger:
Input 100-240V
300mA
50-60Hz
Output 5V 1.8A

Can I use the "New Charger" for the PlayBook without causing problmes?

Thank you

Thanks for your quick answer! Smiley Happy
Just noticed it wasn't a micro USB :/

So, just got one with micro USB.
Would this one work also for it?:

100-240 V AC ~150mA
50-60 Hz
Output: 5.0V DC 700mA

Re: Alternative PlayBook charger

Yep, it will. Just slower, I believe at 750mAh.

The 1.8a and 2.0a will be better.

The magnetic rapid charger suggested above will be best.

Re: Alternative PlayBook charger

I've seen it successfully done, but it's painfully slow.  You might get an error message saying there's not enough.
