Android Malware on Playbook

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to the android app end of things. I sideloaded a few android apps on my playbook and i just found out one of which was malware. So my question is do i have anything to worry about? I removed it obviously, but i guess i'm wondering are android malware apps something to be worried about? Or is there sufficient security built into the playbook to ensure no personal data could be compromised?  Thanks in advance...

Re: Android Malware on Playbook

If you have uninstalled the app you should be OK.  Its very unlikely to have left any other traces or installed additional apps without asking you. If you are really concerned perform a Security Wipe and start from fresh.

Any app can be malware if it was programmed to be naughty. BB world don't thoroughtly test and approve apps as far as I know. It's even more difficult to be secure with sideloaded Android apps because Playbook does not always ask your permission for the app to access your data on installation. Even if they do,  sideloaded apps cannot have the permissions altered after installation in security settings like apps from BB World. The source of the converted app also matters and if it was from goodereader.com (the most reliable source) then they need to be told.
