Re: App World Cache Problem

RIM is aware of this issue with App World caching.  It will be fixed in the next OS update.

Re: App World Cache Problem

Does this mean that an app that was FREE but now costs is "locked" so that I cannot install the new, paid-for version, too?  File Commander was free and I got it.  Now it shows an update but is impossible to clear and get and pay for the new version.

Thanks.

Re: App World Cache Problem

I'm not sure what you are trying to do.  Are you trying to install both the free and paid for versions of the application?  Or do you mean you are unable to update for free now that it is pay only?

Re: App World Cache Problem

Limbo land.  Appworld offers the upgrade.   But then says cannot accomplish it.  I was willing to now purchase it but that is not offered as a choice.  It is either Upgrade or Delete.  I finally deleted it but even using RST, if I search for the app, it offers the Reinstall but that does not work.  Circular - upgrade, no work, delete, reinstall, no work.  No option to purchase it.

Re: App World Cache Problem

Is this an application you created or are you an end user of it?
