this usually solves it.


delete the BlueTooth Bridge profiles on both devices

Then perform a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry smartphone powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache like rebooting a PC. Then try again and see if your problem persists.

on Playbook press power button and both Vol + - buttons for 10 seconds to reboot it.

setup bridge again and see if it persists.

 

if that does not work, then we need to fix the BBM database.

 

 

 

 

This is a sure way to do it, It might take about 30 min depending on device and bootup times not included.

 

 

Backup BBM contacts to file or email account in BBM.

 

Do a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > Backup. Close Desktop Manager upon completion and unplug BlackBerry. Get DM here http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/


wipe the device (after doing a complete backup)

restore from back up everything except for BBM.

Follow this KB if needed http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB10339

 

check bridge after and restore BBM contacts/ join groups again.

Will have to wait and see for next upgrade. Is there any specific date that we can look forward to? There've been a few upgrades since but still no BBM group.

From what I have heard it is a BBM issue and not the playbook/bridge issue.

If you did all the steps and Bridge is not working then maybe a call to support is in order.

You can see on this topic that BBM groups are not supported yet on the Playbook.
