It will work with the magnetic rapid charger connection. Done it a few times.

Re: Battery 0% and does not charge at all

[ Edited ]

The rapid charger did not work in my case.  I cleaned the contacts, checked spring action, checked good contact was being made, nada.  No red light, no charging symbol in the battery indicator for the very few minutes I was able to boot up.

My PlayBook would only charge in the 0% state when I plugged in the charger that came with the PlayBook.  Once the charging had started and went past the 0%, I was able to switch over to the rapid charger.

Re: Battery 0% and does not charge at all

I realize this is an old topic, but here goes.

I haven't used my 32GB for a long tiime, can't seem to get it to charge.

I am using a Blackberry charger but not the one that came withy my unit.

It was wrecked in the same incident that cracked my screen.

So yes, I need a new/used touchscreen.

However, I don't need one if I can't get it to charge & power on.

I can get a red light to come on for maybe 10 secs, then it goes off and after a few secs the green flashes 5 times and then nothing.

Any ideas out there?

Re: Battery 0% and does not charge at all

You need the BlackBerry charger which has higher power than other chargers.

Or the above suggestion for the magnetic rapid charger.

Re: Battery 0% and does not charge at all

Okay,

I guess I bought the wrong Blackberry charger.  I just read the package & it is a micro charger for a Blackberry phone.  Unfortunately I bought it while away & have no way to return it.

I'll see if I can borrow one to get it charged and make sure it still works before I put any more $$ in to it as even if i can get it working I still need a new touch screen.

Re: Battery 0% and does not charge at all

I'd highly suggest the magnetic rapid charger, on Amazon for about $13-15USD.

Re: Battery 0% and does not charge at all

It's getting there... keep it charging and try pressing the power button.
