BlackBerry Desktop will not install!!

I have a Windws 8 Pro machine. When I go to install Desktop  7.1 I get a corrupt data error message. I have downloaded the file 3 times changed security settings and still get this message. It does not install but it must leave some tags on my machine. The first time I installed the desktop it would not recognize the Playbook. The device drivers in system said the data files where corrupt. I have uninstalled the program 3 times now and tried to reinstall but can not get past the corrupt data problem.

A little back ground the Playbook worked fine for about 3 weeks then all of a sudden Desktop did not see the Playbook and the installation problems started.Smiley Sad

The BlackBerry Desktop Software is not officially supported on Windows 8, however, this article may help you get it working correctly.
