The OANDA currency exchange app does not work after the OS upgrade.

Re: BlackBerry Playbook upgrade OS v1.0.5.2304 introduces a variety of new features and enhancements

Although it's an average tablet, it was brought out before it was ready in my opinion.  All the items that they have added in a half version is not alot of stuff yet.  What are they going to call the version that has an actual email app?  Version 2? heh...was just brought out before it was ready.

I have an odd question, why is it that every update is 300MB?  are they pushing out the full version of the OS each time?

Re: BlackBerry Playbook upgrade OS v1.0.5.2304 introduces a variety of new features and enhancements

My guess is the OS upgrades are similiar to app updates where the older version is removed and the newer version is installed with enhancements. This could be the cause of files size being so similiar.

[ Edited ]

Still I haven't restored my Video call Application, they must allow us to download it through the "App World".

It's really irritating me without it.

Nevermind found a way to get it back

Re: BlackBerry Playbook upgrade OS v1.0.5.2304 introduces a variety of new features and enhancements

o.k. so if they push out the OS each time, why is it that you have to re-download it if you restore the playbook to defaults...wouldn't it make sense to have the new OS version loaded into the firmware so that you don't have to re-download it...

Just a bit of a draw back when thinking about allowing them out into a large company...adds more to support when it comes to the end user.
