Blackberry Bridge Icon and Software has disappeared

I used my playbook in the office before I went home at 4pm. Blackberry Bridge was there and working with all the lovely new icons. 2 hours later when I switch the playbook on at home its disappeared and I dont seem to be able to download through App world,

I dont care why it happened(well I do) but would sooner get it back asap as one of the reasons I bought the playbook was the integration with my Blackberry phone. Have to say I am becoming less and less impressed with the tablet as time goes on.

Has anyone seen this and please tell me the answer isnt to re-download the OS upgrade...

Re: Blackberry Bridge Icon and Software has disappeared

At the top of the screen, do you see the Bridged icon showing?

Can you tap the upper right Options/Settings icon and scroll down to BlackBerry Bridge.

 -- what's on that screen?

Re: Blackberry Bridge Icon and Software has disappeared

The settings screen showed the icon but the folder on the home page had disappeared. The playbook wouldn't stay connected to the phone.  I resinstalled the latest update again and everything is back and working ok. Oh by the way, make sure you pick the right language during setup.. i acidentally hit french... ouch.

All sorted. But would dearly love to know how it could lose it when all I did was put it on standby... ?

Re: Blackberry Bridge Icon and Software has disappeared

I had the same problem

Bridge and world app disappear. What I understand that blackberry doesn't know the solution

In my company we have 44 bb users 24 are using a playbook.

We had to make a decision for new equipment. BB was our favorite and we like the bridge functions

We are to small to take care for BB.

As far as we know we understand that whatts app is not available on the new bb platform. Businesswise we are using it a lot and also for private of course.

We like the products but it is for us if we want to stay in contact with the rest of the world it is difficult to go further with bb

Re: Blackberry Bridge Icon and Software has disappeared

I'm betting WhatsApp will be available on the new BB10.
