In general.... no....

  • authors needed to give permission for the apps to be ported.... many did not
  • the Playbook allowed applications to be "side loaded".  Not for a novice
  • as Android applications get more advanced, the Playbook will have more difficulties.

It's not difficult if you use Chrome browser with extension.




Try the kindle app at goodereader.com. Developers are naturally reticent about sideloading but goodereader try to only have approved apps.
