hi i just bought my plabook, and when i want to conncet it to my PC it appears "Blackberry desktop software cannot communicate with the connected device". i already tried many ways like click retry, updates the sotfware to the latest one, restart my PC and my playbook, but unfortunately it didnt works. In addition, i also tried another way beside using via usb (file sharing), like bluetooth, and wifi sharing, and again its useless. i am so depressed, spend more than 6 hours to fix it, hope somebody can help me.

Alas I went through all the pain you did too. From what you have said above, my final solution isn't mentioned.
I read this on the forums here. I just don't recall where.
Ensure the device is not connected to the pc. TURN OFF the WIFI on your Playbook. Then attach it via the USB cable.
Fingers crossed for you.

I have the same sofware load that you do, and my PB connects fine. I did have a bad cable though, so perhaps having your USB cable checked might not hurt. It never hurts to 1: disconnect the PB; 2: restart your computer; 3: connect your PB. No other software running. You should see the screen pop showing the PB is connected. If not, try a new cord or a different USB port. As a rule, I do not use the BB desktop except to backup or check for software updates.
