my sons blackberry playbook has lost sound,iv been on to settings and still cant get it going ?

Check the centre button on top between the + and - volume buttons. It may be stuck in.

No butten not stuck as showing sound butten as fully working ok

When you press the volume buttons on the top do you get the volume control image on the screen that shows the volume going up/down?

Stick a .mp3 on the Playbook and start the standard Music app, that program has a on screen volume slider you can try.
