Bluetooth File Transfer

Greetings,

I've been unable to share files between my Style 9670 and my PlayBook using Bluetooth, so I'm trying to do it through BlackBerry Bridge.

From the PlayBook home screen I tap File Manager. At the top I tap BlackBerry 9670. I can browse most file types, but when I try to browse to my videos directory on my phone...

/BlackBerry/Media Card/BlackBerry/videos

I get a "There are no files that can be opened by PlayBook" error. However, if I manually copy a *.3GP file from my phone to the PlayBook, the PlayBook can open and play it.

Why can't Bridge view or open videos (*.3GP)?

Thanks,

Shane.

Re: Bluetooth File Transfer

there is not enough bandwidth over Blue tooth to support video playback, it is limited to less than 2 mega bit and some video require 2 mega bytes which is 8 times more than Bluetooth spec

Re: Bluetooth File Transfer

Is it possible to copy the videos over Bluetooth? Instead of attempting real-time playback?

Thanks,

Shane.
