Browsing internal network

I'm new to Playbook.

I have a Verizon 9850 connected to my enterprise and a playbook with bridge.

I can read my emails through the bridge but I can not browse company network with the playbook, I can with the phone.

I turned the wifi off and tried it but nothing is working.

Any ideas?

Re: Browsing internal network

You should be able to access your corporate network through the Bridge Browser when connected to your 9850. If that doesn't work, you might want to talk to your IT guys to see if they're restricting that in some way.

Re: Browsing internal network

In version 2 I do not have the browser inside the bridge.

Our IT do not restrict it

Re: Browsing internal network

If you do not have the Bridge Browser then you will be unable to access internal websites through your 9850.

On your 9850, in the Bridge app, if you look at the Properties of your Playbook, is Bridge Browser checked? If not, this would be why you do not see it.

If it is checked, you may wish to delete the pairing and recreate it.

Re: Browsing internal network

I looked inside the properties of the playbook on 9850.

I do not see browser at all there, I see BBM, Calendar, Contacts, messages, tasks and text messages.

No Browser line.

Re: Browsing internal network

I'd suggest removing the pairing to the Playbook, then uninstall and reinstall the Bridge app, then redo the pairing. Make sure you reboot after the uninstall.

Re: Browsing internal network

Can't think of anything else at this point, the settings that determine what is visible on the Playbook are contained in the Bridge app on the BlackBerry. If it doesn't appear I'm not sure what you can do to make it visible.

Have you asked Verizon if they have disabled this feature on the BlackBerry side? I know some carriers didn't like the "surf the web via Bridge" feature since it's basically tethering without being viewed as tethering. Or, maybe it's not supported on your particular device for some reason?

Aside from the usual suggestion to make sure your device software is up to date, I'm not sure what else to suggest.
