Re: Camera App - Not Working "error.4003"

Having suffered that sinking feeling after estimating that my PB was approx 1 month out of warranty I am pleased to report that a simple reboot seems to have cured my camera woes... Hurrah!! (doesn't normally work like that does it...)

Re: Camera App - Not Working "error.4003"

Hi

I have had the same camera problem. How do I reset my playbook. This camera error 4003 is extremely annoying and hope RIM can send an update to resolve the matter.

Re: Camera App - Not Working "error.4003"

I am having the exact same problem with my playbook. How do you reset it? I am not too tech savvy, is it something that can be done easily? I too think it had to do with my latest update but mine was with 2.1.0.1526 but as I don't use the camera very often it could have been the same as yours.

Re: Camera App - Not Working "error.4003"

I had the same error message this evening and got a bit worried by all those posters saying its a hardware error. Tried a hard reset and camerea is now functioning as normal.

Ok your problem was not hardware. Point is many peope have tried "hard reset" (which is simply a restart  except you can use it when the screen is frozen), then a security wipe, then a debrick, all with no resolution.  In that case it's hardware.

It is good news for you but misleading to respond to two posts with incomplete information.

@jarviser. In what way is my post misleading or incomplete? I am only stating what I experienced. I am sure that not overyone tried a reset.I was quite put out by the many posts droning on about it being a hardware problem, without first recommending a "reset".

Hold in the power button for 20 seconds, ignoring any menu options or information screens that come up.
