Camera ceased to work

Good day.  Tried this question on BBOS.com but didnt get anywhere.  After doing the most resent update to the OS both my front and rear cameras ceased working when being used as cameras.  When I use video chat the camera works.  As I am coming up to the one year warranty dead line should I take it into RIM or is there another option.  I work in Waterloo and I can easily get to a service centre if needed.

just try rebooting your phone once if this doesn't sole the problem the you might give it to the rim center for repair

Tried re-booting and re-installing the OS. Didn't change anything.
