Can Someone tell me how to change back to V2.0.1.358

Would like to change back to v2.0.1.358 as the PB is no use as it is.

I can't save any files onto it because the new OS won't work.

You can't go back. If you wipe your PlayBook it will automatically update to the latest version.

Can I suggest you start a new topic explaining why you cannot save files onto your PlayBook?

Hi 1Toody,

Recently 2.0.1.668 was removed from download. So try Security Wipe to return to 358.
Respectfully,
Oleg

Re: Can Someone tell me how to change back to V2.0.1.358

First I would like you to do a Back Up of your PlayBook using your computer and BlackBerry Desktop Software.

This can be downloaded for free from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

After the Back Up is complete I need you to unplug your PlayBook and then push and hold down the Power Button until the unit Force Powers Off.

Now, while Desktop Software is still open on your computer and the PlayBook Powered Off, Connect the PlayBook to your computer.

You should see and error screen from Desktop Software pop up that has the options to Retry, Update, or Cancel.

QUICKLY choose the Update option.

This will erase all the information off of your PlayBook and Re-Write the Software back onto it. Once it's complete your PlayBook will need to go back through the setup wizard, and you can then perform a restore using Desktop Software to return your information. The only thing that won't come back after the restore are the apps that you downloaded from App World but they can be easily Re-Installed using the My World feature in App World.

Re: Can Someone tell me how to change back to V2.0.1.358

Sorry i didn't get back to this post earlier.

The reason i was asking this was because i was frustrated.

What i didn't know was that i was unsuccessful in loading the .668 to start with. My problems were as a result of an ealier fault where i couldn't Backup my PB. When i had plugged in the PB and then started the Software it was unable to Communicate and showed an error which gave 3 options to Try Again, Upgrade. and cancel. My PB shwed the Software on it was .358 after it finished.

Anyway the fault only turned out to be a problem with the Drivers on the Computer.

The Solution was to Delete the Driver for the Rim Device, Uninstall the Desktop Manager, Restart the computer, then reinstall the V7.b33 DM. then all was good even able to Backup now and that hasn't worked fo a couple of months.
