Can't Connect Twitter Account to Messages App

Hi,

 

I am trying to connect my Twitter account in the dialog within Settings>>Accounts. I know I have entered the correct username and password. However, I continue to get the following message: "Your login information for account (_myusername_) has changed or is incorrect. Update your login information and try again."  I have not recently changed my Twitter password.

 

Is anyone else having this problem or have any ideas on how to connect it?

Do you have login Verification enabled on your twitter account. If yes then first deactivate it, then link your account. You can turn it on again if you want.

Hi,

 

I don't have login verification enabled on my account. I did try restarting my PlayBook but this error continues. I tried putting my username and my e-mail address for the username and neither worked.

Such a situation generally occus when e have 2 step verifications enabled. I faced the same while configuring my outlook account. Are you able to login to your twitter account through your PC.

I am able to access it through my smartphone, pc, and when I log in using the PlayBook's browser.

Try setting the Permissions to prompt.

My last suggestion would be for you to go to the App World and download the Latest Version Of Twitter App and Login Through it.

You mean enabling the login verification? Or something else?

No no not that. I was suggesting you to change the app permissions to Prompt in the Application Settings. Did you download the latest version of the Twitter App from the app world and tried logging in from that.

I'm not sure.. There doesn't seem to be an official Twitter app for the PlayBook in the App World.
