Contacts CardDAV sync failure with Zimbra

I have a large number of Contacts and a Calendar in Outlook 2003 that I wish to migrate to and synchronize with my Playbook and I don't need/want to use Google. My ISP uses Zimbra 7.1.1 for e-mail which supports Contacts and Calendar sync through CardDAV and CalDAV. I've downloaded an Outlook plug-in known as WebDAV Collaborator to provide DAV functionality. In the Outlook plug-in, I use the following server addresses; https://mail.ncf.ca/dav/myaddress@ncf.ca/Calendar/ https://mail.ncf.ca/dav/myaddress@ncf.ca/Contacts/ And my Contacts and Calendar are synchronized with Zimbra (verified though ISP web access). On my Playbook, I've set up a CalDAV account with the following server address (https:// added automatically by Playbook): mail.ncf.ca/dav/myaddress@ncf.ca/Calendar And everything functions as expected! 2-way Calendar sync between Outlook and Playbook. However, Contact sync is another issue. On my Playbook, I've set up a CardDAV account with the following server address: mail.ncf.ca/dav/myaddress@ncf.ca/Contacts I get a green circle with the indication of "Saving and verifying your settings", however no Contacts are sync'ed! It should be noted that the Playbook then truncates the server address to "mail.ncf.ca". I've tried a number of server address variations without success sometimes getting the red X indicating the current setting failed testing. This appears to be a Playbook bug, but if anyone could suggest a work around, I'll give it a try.

Re: Contacts CardDAV sync failure with Zimbra

Having pretty much the same problem on Q10.

I get a popup that tells me:

"Your account blabla - bla@bla.com cannot be authenticated  with your service provider . Please make sure that the account settings are correct".

Usernames and passwords are definiately correct - this also leaves me with the URL. Also tried a couple of options, with no luck.

Calendar is working like a charm.

Has anybody replied (privately) with any thing usefull so far?

(PS: sorry fo the "Me too" post)

Re: Contacts CardDAV sync failure with Zimbra

I discovered that you can sync with Zimbra if you select Exchange when you set-up your e-mail account, instead of IMAP, CalDAV and CardDAV.

Once you set-up the e-mail account, you have the option on the PB to sync email, calendar and contacts.
