Hi this is driving me absolutely fricking batty! 4 days ago my table would not connect to my wifi.......I worked away at for 2 days.....I reset password on router, checked settings on router.....NOTHING!! I finally backed up data to my desktop and did what I was trying to avoid.....the Security Wipe (da da da!!!!) and proceeded to get back onto wifi.......low and behold this did work......nothing from before was left behind, but I knew that was going to happen. I played with it for a day just like that to see if my wifi connection would remain stable, and for all intents and purposes it had.
My next step, which I chose to try to today was to restore the tablet's data..........FACEPLANT!!! Big mistake!! I am right back to where I was 4 days ago, but worse now......I lost wifi recognition again, I tried to login manually, nothing.....since I felt I hadn't really lost anything I decided to just do another Security Wipe and accept that whatever files I had loaded onto my PC were somehow corrupted. That being said.......swipe worked, but now can only get as far as the Blackberry legal agreement page! Says I haven't chosen a country or language yet and to go back and try again........but I obviously have chosen a language and a country because I would not have been able to get to the legal agreement page without entering the very first step of this setup process.
Now it won't even let me turn it of or reboot........I am really beginning to dislike what I considered the best tablet ever!!
Any thoughts ideas?! Just scrap it and move on to a competitor (he he he)?!

To be honest, the security wipe is not the best method of wiping the device. I recommend reloading the OS in place of doing a wipe. I think it's actually a little faster and you get back everything you're supposed to.
Push and hold down the Power Button until the unit Force Powers Off.
Now, while Desktop Software is still open on your computer and the PlayBook Powered Off, Connect the PlayBook to your computer.
You should see and error screen from Desktop Software pop up that has the options to Retry, Update, or Cancel.
QUICKLY choose the Update option.
This will erase all the information off of your PlayBook and Re-Write the Software back onto it.
