Device Driver for Windows 7 Bluetooth

I can connect my blackberry playbook with the desktop software using USB but am not able to with Bluetooth.  Error says I need a Bluetooth driver for the device.  I have downloaded and tried to install the broadcom file but wont install once I turn Bluetooth on.  I downloaded and installed Microsoft and the blue tooth is partially installed but still shows a problem in the device manager.  Any help would be appreciated.  I can see the playbook as a Bluetooth device but with a trouble.

Re: Device Driver for Windows 7 Bluetooth

When can we expect one.  What is the use of having a playbook with bluetooth if there is nothing it can connect to?

Re: Device Driver for Windows 7 Bluetooth

It works with Keyboard, Mouse, HS 700, VM 605, Stereo Gateway, Music Gateway and any OS 5 and higher BlackBerry phone for BlackBerry Bridge. nd maybe a few more items

Re: Device Driver for Windows 7 Bluetooth

Is there an update to getting a bluetooth driver for a blackberry playbook to a pc on windows 7?

My problem is that my usb connection no longer works on the playbook, and apparently can't be fixed, so I need to get bluetooth working so I can backup my data/media.

Re: Device Driver for Windows 7 Bluetooth

you can use wifi sharing on the playbook and access it

Complete the following steps to share files over a Wi-Fi connection for the BlackBerry Device:

  1. On the BlackBerry device, open Settings
  2. Select Storage and Sharing for BlackBerry PlayBook, or select Storage and Access for BlackBerry 10 smartphone
  3. Toggle Wi-Fi Sharing to ON for BlackBerry PlayBook or toggle Access using Wi-Fi to On for BlackBerry 10 smartphone
  4. Select Properties for BlackBerry PlayBook or select Identification on Network for BlackBerry 10 smartphone
This allows verification of the device's network identification information. (username, password etc)
  5. Navigate to the IP address of the device from a Windows or Mac based computer on the same network as the BlackBerry device which can be found under Settings > About > Network.
    Follow the applicable steps below:

    1. On a Windows computer, open the Run dialog box (shortcut of Windows Key + R)
    2. Type file:\\127.1.1.1 or file:\\127.1.1.1
(where 127.1.1.1 should be replaced with the actual IP address of the BlackBerry Device)

    3. On a Mac computer, select Go > Connect to Server
    4. Type smb://127.1.1.1
(where 127.1.1.1 should be replaced with the actual IP address of the BlackBerry Device)

  6. Navigate to the media folder, or removable_sdcard folder if SD card is inserted in the device (once the device is connected to the computer)
Note: A prompt will appear and ask for user name and password (as seen from step 4 above)

  7. Transfer the desired files between the computer and these folders.
Note: The removable_sdcard folder and or device folder may contain several sub-folders such as documents, music, photos, videos, etc.
