I’ve been thinking about what I had before the Playbook. A Smartphone with email, calendar, tasks, BBM, and web browsing with a small screen and numerous applications. Now with Playbook I’ve got my Smartphone email, calendar and tasks on the Playbook big screen. I’ve got web access browsing through bridge from anywhere on my Playbook big screen. I’ve got web access browsing via. Wifi on my Playbook. I’ve got some really good applications on my Playbook. The Weather applications is great. I’ve got full versions of Documents to Go so I can open all my Office documents. I’ve got front and rear camera/video. I could go on and on, the Playbook has really enhanced my mobile experience. Are they things that are not working properly, YES. When RIM gets this stuff working I am going to have the best wireless setup in the industry. I haven’t been ripped off, even with its flaws I can do so much more now.
I'm rockin the BlackBerry DTEK60, Passport, Z30, Z10, Q10, BlackBerry Mini Stereo Speaker, 64 gig PlayBook,BT Headset HS-700

WOW, there are lots of pros and cons here.
I didnt expect PlayBook fully replace any thing, I have a laptop and a Torch already. My problem is holding my laptop as it is huge. My torch does many things but no Flash Support. The PlayBook comes into the middle of both and enhances my Torch like a giant Viagra pill.
As for apps, there are plenty out there and more are coming in every day.
you dont need 300000 crappy apps, just good ones that work everytime.
There might be a few weird things for supported stuff, but not many manufatures can have it all ready for a new device. it just isnt going to happen.
ok, I am done, time to play some more games on PlayBook.

the titl;e of this thread should have been worded differntly..."ripped off" is a strong statement and teh PB is anb outstanding formfactor dispite teh drawbacks...however what I need it to do does not....so keeping until RIM decides to implement or not implement certain features is not practical in my case...for others it would be different.
I returned mine becasue of teh 2 faults that shoudl ahve been part of the package from the start....but are not. Hopefuly they will be but my gut feeling is RIM will not allow skype to be accessible to the PB...why woudl they..even though they published it att eh Trade shouw showing Skype.
Silverlight shoiydl have been ported to PB before RIM launch PB...RIM claims the best web experience of all tablets but they failed here, maybe it will be be added, hopefully so.
