I still have the same problem.
I tried for days, in all possible combinations what you have said, but with the same result.
The closest time, I reach the step of looking for new software, the device turns on and a new error of connection with the device comes in. So I'm stuck!!!!

i just got my playbook and have the same problem. worked in out myself in under 5 minutes. just as i was starting to get angry lol..... All you have to do is chnage the time to an hour in fromt. just take off auto update and time and change it 1 hour. save, then try siging in again. BAMMMMMMM FIIIXXXED. i bet you any money this works....
