Frozen screen

Turned on my new playbook, connected to wifi ok, was then prompted to update software which i did and after trying to load software screen froze with the following

 

could not connect to the update server. (0)

 

help

Double check your wifi connection and do make sure for major OS updates that you are connected to the wall power outlet as you don't want to run out of battery power...major problems then

downloaded os software to PC from BB website then loaded onto playbook. would not complete download. screen hung at ID agreement page. was fully charged.
