Help!!! I Dont Even Know What Happened.

My top screen is gone, replaced by a digital flap with an arrow. No browser, no app world. I merely restarted my playbook and this happened. What gives? Literally a blank bottom screen if I were to swipe up. The only way I still have my browser capability is because I saved a bookmark to the homescreen. Is there any way around this?

And digital flap with an arrow?

I'd restart again, press and hold the power button and up volume key until you see the menu to restart.

3 times to no avail. But a better description would be to swipe up and unlike where there would normally be a "most used applications" menu including the browser and app world there is nothing but a blank line with an up arrow to the far right. It looks like a digital flap because on a second swipe up music pictures, bridge, videos etc are displayed and the blacked out top screen is there and it looks like a flap particularly with the arrow.

I should also add that this has nothing to do woth any update as I've been updated for a while with no problems, so I'm at a loss.

Meaning you werent updating the OS at the time?

 

So on restart and boot up, the firstnthing you see is this blank screen?

Okay, then connect your PlayBook to the PC and run your BlackBerry desktop software. 

It should suggest to you if an update is needed and proceed.

Hi i recomend to you a wipe, go to options, security, security wipe, remember make a backup on your pc before do this, then conect to ur pc and update
