How to Create a Microsoft Exchange Active Sync Account

Okay people:  This is what I was given, "How toCreate a Microsoft Exchange Active Sync Account"  in a recent post in regarding to eliminate the "Invalid Email Account" notice box which appears every other day, after I deleted and added the email account.

I still have one email account functioning which is fine, but still, I'd like to have both of my accounts working.  Anyhow, I found the webpage for this creating a Microsoft Exchange Active Sync Account. Setting up an Exchange email account on BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 | BrightPoint GB Blog

I need help here.  I have no idea what "Domain Field" indicates, and what is the IT Department?  Would that be my server for my private WiFi connection?   I need a more specific instructions.  Plus the Server Address, what would that be?

You'd need to obtain these details from whoever provides your email service.

Re: How to Create a Microsoft Exchange Active Sync Account

I did set up 2 email addresses and one of them is considered invalid.  So it's deleted now from my PlayBook.  I have the Gmail addresses on both accounts.  Now I am in the process of trying to figure out how come the one email address works in my PlayBook and the other don't work at all.  I am getting more confused so I think for now I will not add the other email address to my PlayBook as long as the other one is valid until I have more time to do what it takes to make the email address valid.

Re: How to Create a Microsoft Exchange Active Sync Account

Ok... so if you are trying to setup Gmail as an Exachange Active Sync account then your server will be m.google.com, you leave the domain field blank and use your email address and password.

All these details are available from Google Mail

Re: How to Create a Microsoft Exchange Active Sync Account

I am confused. Do not EAS accounts have to be servers provided typically by large offices for their employees? and if so how would a Gmail account be EAS?

Re: How to Create a Microsoft Exchange Active Sync Account

Google have provided the necessary server end infrastructure to set gmail up as an EAS account on devices that support EAS
