I belleve that you cannot remove the default apps/ files from the system. Otherwise you should be able to swipe from the top bezel in the pictures app, and select edit to delete pics, same as in videos

You cant delete music though? Because when i go to the music and i go to all songs and swipe down and click edit - it only gives you the option of adding them to a playlist?

Re: How to Delete file i.e. videos directly from the Playbook

I've been having trouble deleting stuff.

Here's what happens:

I download a WMV video, which ends up in \media\downloads.

Then, I delete it as instructed: Swipe down from the Video app, click the checkbox for the video and hit "delete." It's gone.

Then I have to hit "cancel" to get rid of the menu section up top. The downloaded video is no longer visible.  Or I can close the Video app entirely.

Upon reopening the Video app, the "deleted" video is once again visible.

OS 1.0.3.1868

If you want to delete the Pete Yorn track, then do a security wipe on the Playbook.  You'll have to set it up again, but the Pete Yorn track will be gone.  The demo video will be gone too.

Any apps you have downloaded or purchased can be re-installed after the security wipe as long as you use the same Blackberry ID.  Backup your data first too.
