This error can also occur if an app with a duplicate name is already installed (e.g. If you have a development BAR file installed on the device). Delete the duplicate and reinstall, that should solve the problem.

I am having a problem installing the app OrganizeMe on my Playbook. It will download, and the install will start. The install continues until apx. 38% finished and then I get the 0008 installation error.
I have successfully installed other apps, and have the most recent version of the Playbook OS.
The vendor says that there is nothing he can do -- it is a problem with Blackberry World.
