Re: Latest OS Version for PlayBook (2.0.0.7111)

What imminent signs are you seeing that the rest of us aren't?

Perhaps you could enlighten us on your certainess.

Re: Latest OS Version for PlayBook (2.0.0.7111)

I think:
the fact that AppWorld and the update services have been through some maintenance.
A very positive CES
Blogs mentioning the update straight from RIM
The dev offer for PlayBook apps being at the start of feb (with devs being asked to submit before the 9th)

These all seem to confirm things are on track. No need to chide the OP because he's excited. I don't think there was any 'certainess' to speak of.

Re: Latest OS Version for PlayBook (2.0.0.7111)

I strongly recommend that Developers Only update to this. It is Beta so don't freak out if you got it. If you need help downgrading the OS back to the Original, let me know and I can help.

Very very very faulty and misleading information.

Not exactly what I'd call "BB-Forum-Support".

Re: Latest BETA OS Version for PlayBook (2.0.0.7111)

Quick question. I was upgrading some apps, app world froze and now I am having an issue where it says "We cannot connect you to appworld..please ensure device is connected to wireless network.."  Everything else works fine. Does anyone know a quick fix for this without having to downgrade and upgrade again?  Thanks

Re: Latest BETA OS Version for PlayBook (2.0.0.7111)

As I have said, I am sorry for the misleading information. I did not realize that this was a BETA Version until I had it installed on my device and had to do a downgrade. Again, I am sorry.

Another thing. I have been getting numerous messages asking if I work for RIM. No, I do not work for RIM. I just promote their services and give updates.

Press and hold the Power key, up and down volume (-/+) all three buttons simultaneously, for about 10-12 seconds. You should the red LED blink and that should allow a reset of the PlayBook and to power up.
