Re: Lithium battery myths dispelled

What this sounds like, is that a PlayBook, which is made for multi-tasking, cannot be used for multi-tasking because you have to remember to close everything before walking away so that the battery doesn't drain all the way and not charge again. What a load of **bleep**. If I want to drain my battery, it **bleep** well better charge. People forget, so now I have to worry about my battery draining to 0% so that my PlayBook doesn't become useless? That's Bull.

So it's happened to you? Never happened to our three playbooks.

Re: Lithium battery myths dispelled

It hasn't happened to me, but it kinda makes me nervous as to what will happen if I drain it all the way now.

Happened on my daughter's PlayBook last night.

It would not start up. I connected it to the magnetic rapid charger and press the power button for 20 seconds and got a red then yellow LED. I left it to charge for a few hours. I saw the 'no battery" symbol on the screen.

Came back later, disconnected and reconnected to the rapid charger and pressed the power button again for 20 seconds and the PlayBook began it's startup routing... no problems.

So, on most... not a big deal. Drained battery, charge and carry on.

Good luck. There's a pair of them deeply incorporated in the chassis.
