I'm having the same problem, and I think there are steps you have to take to make this work. Try deleting the profiles off the PB and your phone and sync again. Let me know if this works cause if it doesn't I wont buy the PB yet.

@tboyd, you mean the bridge on my phone? .83 and was and is working as it was before, just no BBM. i am still on .1710 on my PB software, wonder if i need that update before it will take. I hear some people are seeing a PB software update, but i still dont.

How do you get the update, I tried to delete the apps from my Bold 9700, I tried to use the Desktop Manager the only update it saw was the WIFI media sync, and the Blackberry Bridge is still 220.127.116.11, and my Bold is using OS 6.0 bundle 1879

I'm using the 18.104.22.168 version of BBM from the Blackberry Beta Zone.
The updates I used came from BerryReview.com they had the links for
the OS 6 version and OS 5 version on their site.

I had to use Bridge83os5 for my 8530 curve. Hope this helps. I've received several BBM messages and the PB gives a notification and I can open and reply. Works great for me!

I was finally able to get the update for the bridge, but How do I get the BBM for the playbook, when I re-paired the Bold 9700 and the Playbook the bridge application were all there but not the BBM
BTW, the phone already as the latest BBM available on Apps World
