New Playbook stuck on startup screen

Hello,

 

  I just got a new Playbook 64gb. I plug the charger and power it on using the power button. After a small while, i got a black screen with "Blackberry Playbook". This text stays on the screen about 30 seconds. then the display goes black (i gues off).

 

After 5s, the playbook starts thid again and again... I did not see any animation or any desktop.

 

Is my PB dead or can I still rescue it?

how long did you charge it for before use?

Hello,

 

  At firstl i just shut it on and pluged the charger.

 

  Now i shut the PB down and let it 2 hours on charge (the led has been blinking slowly grun/yellow). I tried again but same result. I fear i must send back the tablet to my resellers.... :-(

If it was charging you would see staedy red light for a while, maybe ten minutes,  then yellow pulsing every few seconds, nthen when charged finally steady green. See any of that?  If not, it's not charging.

Hello,

 

  I let it on charge the whole night. When I woke up, the led was green.

  Unfortunatly, the PB stills cycles black / boot screen. I never got any animated startup nor desktop. :-(.

 

  Any idea?

Two things are you using the wall charger...usb to usb does not generate enough power..you need the a/c to usb power cord and secondly, make sure the Blackberry Logo on the mini usb plug is facing up (not the usb logo) if not you may have damaged your mini usb plug and it wont charge

I am using the ac charger. The same works nice with my Playbook 16gb. But i can not get the new 64gb working...

Try unplugging your router for 1 minute. Then plug it back in. At this point do a restart on the PlayBook. Let us know the results.

The PlayBook uses a wifi signal. The signal originates from a router. If you are at home you might be using a wireless router or you get your signal from some ones router. So where are you getting your signal from?
