What version of BlackBerry PlayBook software were you updating to? Also did you make it a certain percentage? Were you doing the update through BlackBerry Desktop Software or the software updates button on the BlackBerry PlayBook?

I have the same problem. Plugged my playbook into my PC. Started the updates (2.1 bundle 1526) and it has ground to a halt at 'installing update 1 of 65'. It says do not interrupt or disconnect or the playbook will become unusable. So now what do I do? My playbook & PC are now both unusable while i am waiting!!! Not impressed.

I was updating to 18.104.22.1686 in response to a popup dialogue informing me the update was available.
Made it to about 5% before wifi was lost. Update did not proceed when coverage was restored, nor when normal shutdown restart cycle was attempted. Hard reset did the trick.
