I can see files under file:///accounts/1000/shared/downloads. They are mp4 files but they do not appear videos application. Also I cannot see them when I connet to the shared folder in windows (through wifi sharing). Can someone please advise how to go about clearing these files?

You need developer tools to be able to ssh into the Playbook.
You can connect to a network share over wifi though and that should be the same share that you see when you connect it with a USB cable to your computer. There are two shares available, dtm and media. The media share is the one that uses the ID and password you set up in settings. I'm guessing that the dtm share is for Desktop Manager, but I'm not really sure.
