Re: PlayBook OS v2.0.1.358 now available

I want to make sure I say the information correctly...

The Desktop Software is 6.1

The Device Manager is 7.0....

The device manager is what was updated through the initial EXE file.

Re: PlayBook OS v2.0.1.358 now available

Here's what Ive been able to discver re: the new OS update.

"... new version of the BlackBerry PlayBook  OS  v2.0.1.358   is now available for download.  This free update can be downloaded over-the-air from your BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet by swiping down from the top and selecting Software updates on the left, then hitting check for updates. This update is 362 mb and will require a reboot after the install, so make sure you have at least 20% of battery life or plug your PlayBook charger in.

The BlackBerry PlayBook OS v2.0.1.358 contains many updates including:

  • Browser enhancements to address performance with some websites
  • Improvements to support Android apps
  • Optimizations to Video Chat, PIM and BlackBerry Bridge applications"

To go where no berry has gone before....

Re: PlayBook OS v2.0.1.358 now available

Well, there may be enhancements but they seem to have removed/broken SpellCheck/PredictiveText in the Bridge Email  app.  Not Good!

Tired of messing with this thing. A day of work wasted, and a buttload of information lost.  Anybody want to  buy a used playbook?

Is there a way to revert to the previous version of the OS?

If you've upgraded your PlayBook OS ok, (reading your first post above), then start a discussion over here:

http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Desktop-Software-for-PC/bd-p/BlackBerryDesktopSoftware

...for discussion of the BlackBerry Desktop Software v7 you're looking for (it's off topic to this thread).

Thanks!
