Re: PlayBook not Charging !!

hApS143!!!!

Again, I don't know what all you've done, you can stop telling me that after I ask each question and instead offer ALL the information you can to begin with. Then perhaps you won't be offended when I ask. Smiley Wink

Did you see my last line in the previous post? You didn't answer that.

Re: PlayBook not Charging !!

I'd do it again.

Using the PlayBook charger, connected to a known working wall outlet, charge for 12+ hours.

Then hold down the power button for 20+ seconds and see if you see ANY activity on the LED light.

Re: PlayBook not Charging !!

Sanders!

I think now you really to focus on all what I mentioned above!

I dont have any issues while these charger os USb cable plugged in cos they switched on my PlayBook (i dont know what's the use seeing LED blinking or not).

And for sure, I dont feel offended but it seems you felt offended on my certain responses.

Never the less I'll try charging again for 12+ hours with a Known Working Wall Outlet.

Alright??

Sorry, I don't need your personal advice. Please stay on topic here regarding solutions to your PlayBook problems.

You, of all people, should understand when posting a help thread, to state everything you've previously done and tried. It's just a waste of your time to respond to every helpful suggestion to with "I've already tried that!!!" when we don't have crystal balls to know what you've done.

And for what it's worth, if you read the link above, the blinks and color of the LED will indicate activity and that it is charging.

I think you should get a warranty exchange if the lengthy charge doesn't work.

Good luck.

Re: PlayBook not Charging !!

hApS - Since yuo mentioned that the issue did not start until you did the OS2 update, one option that I did not see that you had tried was a wipe of the PB.

Since it appears you have done all of the restart options and the issue still occurs then it may be a code in the download of OS 2 did not complete properly.

Before doing the wipe of the PB make sure you have backed up the PB data.

Do you know the steps for doing the wipe to place the machine back to its original state?

Re: PlayBook not Charging !!

Is there the lightning Bolt symbol over the battery symbol? Or is it just the wall plug symbol over the battery symbol? Only the lightning Bolt symbol indicates charging. It takes an original PB charger or another with an output of at least 1000 milliamps to. Chargers the PB.

Re: PlayBook not Charging !!

Hello Tirgoman!

Well yes, it is showing White Lightening Bolt symbol on top of the Red Drained out Battery Symbol, when I plug in the Charger.

Otherwise it shows Wall Plug Symbol over the Red Drained Battery Symbol when i plug it to USB cable connecting through my laptop.

So whats the suggestion???

Re: PlayBook not Charging !!

you're all lucky, my playbook worked fine until a week ago, then won't take a charge at all. It turns on, but has 1% battery left. so that's not going to last long.  thoughts?
