Playbook / App World Error 12000 -- ALL credit cards no longer work after overseas trip

After taking my Playbook on an overseas trip this past week, the payment method no longer works.  I used a second credit card and received Error 12000 as well.

 

I looked at KB28978 and it does not apply as

(1) the credit card had worked previously and this issue also failed to work with another credit card

(2) the credit cards are basic Visa and Mastercards domiciled in Canada and in Canadian dollars

(3) I filed a complaint with BB App World through https://consumersupport.webapps.blackberry.com/blackberrycommerce/refund and received a "An unknown error occurred processing your refund request. Please try again later." message. 

 

If there is a toll-free number we can contact Blackberry App World for help?

It's quite obvious that nobody has the answer on the forum. Call Blackberry Support.
