Re: Playbook displaying my photos:- washed-out, reds and greens look faded,

Well I did that, and the little tree icon wants a URL

The URL is a link to an image place in your personal gallery

But it appears I cannot have a personal gallery as there is no gallery link in my profile page

Re: Playbook displaying my photos:- washed-out, reds and greens look faded,

That's odd, but I have heard other users mention that.

Hold tight, I'll ask the Community Administrator to look at why you don't have the gallery options.

Re: Playbook displaying my photos:- washed-out, reds and greens look faded,

The Gallery option is there now but it wasn't earlier

Thanks for helping, much appreciated

I think the gallery thing has got something to do with my having a new status (just joined)

Perhaps it takes time for a new status to be checked out

Re: Playbook displaying my photos:- washed-out, reds and greens look faded,

You know, you could be right there, after ten posts your status changes, and I bet that will establish your gallery.

I don't know for sure. A little gremlin might have enabled it. Smiley Happy

Re: Playbook displaying my photos:- washed-out, reds and greens look faded,

Yes, now we can get back to the issue:-

Could some of you guys please take a few photos with your other digital camera or phone and upload to your Playbook, and then compare it with the colours that you know to be true.

i.e. If you have red in the curtains or green grass, does the Playbook photo render these colours true?

Don't use tungsten lighting as this gives a bias, natural daylight, not sunshine, is best for this test

Re: Playbook displaying my photos:- washed-out, reds and greens look faded,

I took some pictures with my Olympus Pen E-PL2, transferred to my PC and then copied to the PB over the WiFi and they looked fine with no fading or washed out colours.

Some pictures were in natural light and some of indoors (no flash) of a Christmas tree + colourful presents.

BTW, if you go to a site like WebShots with your PB are the images of true colour rendition?

Re: Playbook displaying my photos:- washed-out, reds and greens look faded,

Thanks for that - much appreciated

Anyone taken any photos with vibrant red or green in the photos?

Can someone take a photo of Playbook next to phone both displaying same photo (a photo that has been taken on the phone) It must have red in it - then show it up here

I do think my screen is colour-biased. I do not know why, probably never will

Think I will have to buy a SONY!
