I keep getting an error message when trying to back up my Playbook. There has been no saves of my data at all.
I understand how to back up; I do it weekly with my 9650. Now for some reason, it's not letting me.
I have it being saved to a folder on my Desktop (because I can easily access it and copy it to external devices). It recognizes everything and process tthe back up and after about 20minutes of it backing up, I get an error message.
What could this be?

Thanks, but I did update to this version yesterday. Still; just for kicks, I tried doing it again today from the link that you have provided... I still got an error message when trying to back up the Playbook.
It reads: There was an error backing up. (title)
- There could have been a problem with the device or connection during the backup. Verify that the device is turned on and connected.

I had the same issue with desktop 188.8.131.52 and PB 184.108.40.2060. Grabbed a laptop that never had the desktop software installed and it work just fine. I'd uninstall desktop s/w, use msconfig to stop unnecessary PC apps, reboot, pull down latest desktop s/w and see if that clears it up.

my issue seems to exist in the application data, both the settings and media files backed up just fine. Yesterday I was on the phone with RIM technicians for three hours as they logged the problem and are now looking into a fix for the next version of the software. We went through a webex conference so he could see the issue first hand. Screenshots were taken of the error and all logs collected. Needless to say, they were very thorough and left no stone unturned.
