I know this is the hundredth post and maybe someone out there has a better solution that I have not tried.
My playbook has 0% power and will not charge...I have tried
Finally I took it to a repair shop here in town because I thought it might be the charging ports but it is not that either. They said is not repairable. It might work with a software update but I can't download the the software because the computer does not recognize the playbook because it is not charged!!!!!
Flustrated doesn't even begin to describe how I feel. I got the Playbook about a month after RIM released it for the first time and loved it. Foolishly, I also purchased the playbook when it was the highest price. So I have had it for several years but never encounter something like this.
So now I have a worthless expensive piece of electronics that all it apparently needs is a software update but how can I get the update to download when there is 0% power. Anyone have a suggestion on this problem?
I will replace the playbook if I can't get is running but it will not be with another playbook.

Have you called your PlayBook support number?
You'd be surprised at how liberal and helpful they have been with this issue, even with devices out of warranty.
