I've tried holding power button + the volume buttons together for 20 seconds, also charging it to a wall outlet but the Playbook seems dead.
It went dead once I let the battery go down to 0% without charging. I had it for only 1 month or so.

Try an connect it to the pc and coonect to it via the desktop software,
also can hold power for 10 seconds to reboot , think you tried the factory reset method.
Perform shallow discharges. Instead of discharging to 0% all the time, lithium-ion batteries do best when you discharge them for a little bit, then charge them for a little bit.

i have the same problem... its totally dead... have you got any updates, how to fix ths??
